After a satisfying round or two of chasing the Frisbee around on the Antarctic Plateau, it's time to head for bed under the brillant glow of the midnight sun.
The sun is barely able to shine through the clouds.
Kari gets pretty frosty on the way.
Back to the South Pole to try some new image angles and a new angle of light.
The wings flex up and finally pull the rest of the aircraft off the snow and into the sky.

The lighting wasn't that great for photography, but it was interesting to see the texture of the snow walls. There's a special machine that was brought down to carve out these square tunnels.

The weather is always interesting... here a cloudbank finally rolls along after covering the pole for the past few days.
