There are two ways to get to the South Pole. Pay or be paid. I chose the latter and it put me on the bottom of the world working construction for nearly four months. Four daylight months.

After a satisfying round or two of chasing the Frisbee around on the Antarctic Plateau, it's time to head for bed under the brillant glow of the midnight sun.

Back to the South Pole to try some new image angles and a new angle of light.

The lighting wasn't that great for photography, but it was interesting to see the texture of the snow walls. There's a special machine that was brought down to carve out these square tunnels.

Niel takes a flying leap to snag a throw that is nearly out of reach.
The weather is always interesting... here a cloudbank finally rolls along after covering the pole for the past few days.
