Daily chores included posting the weather dispatch in the morning and checking on each of the four camps in the eveing. Other than that, it was splitting wood, fixing the cabins, greeting guests and hiking. Lots of hiking.
And there it is: Gray Knob Cabin. Tucked in just below tree line on the north side of Mt. Adams in New Hampshire. At 4,370' it is the highest year-round residence in the northeast.
Early in the week, there still wasn't that much snow... but the fog would stick around, the snow would keep falling and the rime would continue to glom onto everything.
The sun is back and I get a shot of the back door of Gray Knob Cabin.

The Knob with it's first blanket of snow from the season... oops left the door open. Oh, there's no heat inside anyway! Ha ha!

Meggen and I climbed up the night before in the rain and woke to an amazing sunrise from within Crag Camp. This is one of the cabins I maintain.
